underneath
not a deadly sentence
nor a healthy one
supported
alone
the unknown path ahead
i blaze my trail
into the deep
an oceanic abyss
untamed frontier
unbroken and unbroken
boundaries close in
i push i drive
losses that devastate
hidden behind tears
hushed depths
locked away
the ride of my life
a flier of course
into the coal black night
the world sleeps
changes
invisible to all but me
every ounce of breath
movement inconsiderable
a book cover
deceives
able
disabled
ambushed
i call out
just out of reach
i can taste it
drifting out to sea
unnoticed
perceptions
assumptions
the unspoken
why
forgotten
where are you
time unstoppable
each moment unrecoverable
quest for inclusion
battles exclusion
deafening silence
passes
into the unknown
alone i must go
solitary
loved
that’s the thing
loved.
STOP ASIAN HATE
BLACK LIVES MATTER
Ah, more poetry, often the genre for intensity of feeling. And there is plenty of that here. Thank you for sharing what must be excruciating dichotomies. Am struck by able/disabled, solitary/loved, inclusion/exclusion. But NOT forgotten! Please tell us more about changes invisible to all but you... we really do want to know. And what is the book cover that deceives? Thank you thank you. You end with "loved." Indeed, you are.
