Unbroken
The Tallest Tree
Standing there
Upright
So proud
Swaying in the wind
Bending
Rife with broken branches
And those unbroken
Refusing to break
Accepting what is
Serene yet fighting
At peace and determined
Supported, held up, lifted
By trees around
Willing it to thrive
And grow
Glow
Swaying in its dance
Not like before
But
Joyful as ever
So tall
So proud
Head high
Though sadness beckons
Joy and sadness
Coexist
Together
Nurturing my soul
I sit in my walker
Staring
Blessed by this moment
You
And lessons of the tallest tree
I had been out for a walk on this windy day when I stopped, as I do occasionally, to look up and around, to see what I can see. The breeze spoke to me as it worked its way through the majestic pines. I turned my walker to the side, converting it to a chair. And now you know, what came to me then...
